When the last of our summer campers have packed away their tents and Red Sky at Night Campsite settles down for the season, something rather magical begins to happen amongst the trees.
From September through to April, our little woodland on the family farm in beautiful Monmouthshire becomes Into the Woods at Red Sky, a place where birthdays are celebrated a little differently, surrounded by nature, imagination and the freedom to simply be children.
We believe some of the best childhood memories are made outdoors, where adventures aren't planned down to the minute and a little mud is all part of the fun. It's this love of the countryside, and the joy of watching children lose themselves in imaginative play, that inspired us to create our woodland birthday parties.

A Celebration Just for Them

Every birthday deserves to feel special, and that's why we take care of the little details before you arrive. Your woodland celebration space will be beautifully dressed and ready to welcome your birthday child and their friends, with any optional extras you've chosen arranged in advance.
What happens next is entirely up to your little adventurers. They might spend hours building dens, inventing muddy masterpieces or discovering the smallest creatures beneath the leaves. There are no entertainers, organised schedules or expectations, just the wonderful freedom to explore and enjoy being together.

And because we're nestled within a real working family farm, the experience is as authentic as it gets. Think sheep in the surrounding fields, fresh country air, changing seasons and the occasional muddy surprise along the way!

We provide the setting, the thoughtful touches and a woodland full of possibilities. The children bring the imagination.

Everything you need for a relaxed, outdoor birthday celebration, with exclusive use of our woodland party area and plenty to keep little imaginations busy.

What's Included?

A sheltered party area decorated with bunting, lanterns and fairy lights, complete with picnic seating, children's squash, party plates and cups, plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate-making facilities for guests to help themselves.

Your Party, Your Pace

Weekends | September to April | 10am–2pm

Your woodland party area is exclusively yours for up to four hours. Stay for the whole celebration or enjoy a shorter visit; there's no set timetable, so you can plan the day around your birthday child.

Our parties are self-led, with children supervised by their accompanying adults throughout.

£150 — Up to 12 children
£12.50 — Each additional child

Maximum of 20 children per party.

Every birthday at Into the Woods is a little adventure of its own, and sometimes it's those extra touches that make it truly magical. From crackling woodland fires and toasted marshmallows to delicious fire-cooked pizzas and beautifully prepared picnics, our optional extras help make your little explorer's celebration even more special. Best of all, we'll have everything arranged and ready for your arrival, leaving you free to enjoy every magical moment.

A Cosy Woodland Fire

£20 per party

There's something wonderfully comforting about the gentle crackle of a fire on a crisp autumn or winter's day, especially when you're surrounded by the beauty of the woodland. Add our fire bowl to your celebration and we'll have everything prepared for you, including firewood, kindling and fire-lighting supplies, so you can gather around the warmth and enjoy the atmosphere at your own pace. Perfect for warming chilly fingers, enjoying a hot chocolate or simply adding a little extra woodland magic to your celebration.

S'more Birthday Magic

£35 for up to 12 children | £2 per additional child

What's a woodland birthday without a little toasted marshmallow magic? Gather your little adventurers around the crackling fire for sticky fingers, gooey marshmallows and plenty of birthday smiles! We'll have everything prepared and waiting for you, including the fire bowl, firewood, lighting supplies, marshmallows and toasting skewers, so all you need to do is enjoy the fun. A wonderfully cosy addition to your woodland celebration, especially on those crisp autumn and winter days. Fire bowl hire is included in this experience. All fire activities must be supervised by a responsible adult.

Fired Up for Pizza!

£80 for up to 12 children | £6 per additional child

Who says birthday pizza has to come out of an oven? We've teamed up with local bakers Three Sisters Bread Co. to bring a little wood-fired magic to your woodland celebration! Delicious Margherita or pepperoni pizzas are freshly prepared for your little adventurers, ready to be finished cooking over the flames of your woodland fire bowl. There's something rather special about enjoying pizza cooked over an open fire, surrounded by trees, fresh country air and your favourite people. We'll arrange everything ahead of your arrival, leaving you free to enjoy a wonderfully rustic woodland birthday feast. 🔥 Fire bowl hire is included in the price, along with firewood, kindling and fire-lighting supplies. All fire cooking must be carried out and supervised by a responsible adult.

Perfect alongside our fire-cooked pizzas! ✨ A Personal Touch — £2 per box Make their picnic extra special with a personalised name or birthday message. All Taken Care Of! Because birthdays should be about making memories, not organising the little details! We'll take care of arranging, collecting, setting up and clearing away your chosen party food, so everything is ready for your little adventurers to enjoy. Catering service fee — £20 per booking This covers the coordination, collection, setup and clearing away of your party catering and is charged separately from Food By Flo's menu prices. Children's drinks and party crockery are already included in your Into the Woods party package. Beautiful food, happy little explorers and one less thing for you to worry about!

🌿 Good to Know Before You Go!
A little preparation makes for a whole lot of woodland magic! 
We want every family to feel relaxed, comfortable and ready for adventure, so here are a few helpful things to know before joining us at Into the Woods.

🥾 Dress for Adventure!
We're a real woodland on a working family farm, which means muddy puddles, sheep poop, uneven ground, fallen leaves and plenty of opportunities to get wonderfully grubby! Wellies, warm layers and waterproofs are always a good idea, along with clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy.

🎈 Your Party, Your Adventure
Our woodland parties are completely self-led, giving you the freedom to celebrate at your own pace. You'll have exclusive use of our woodland party area between 10am and 2pm, and you're welcome to enjoy as much or as little of that time as you wish.
All children must be accompanied and supervised by their responsible adults throughout their visit, including during activities and around the fire bowl.

🚗 Finding Us & Parking
We're tucked away in the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside, with parking available at the entrance to our  campsite, and with a walk across the camp field to our woodland adventure. Spaces are limited to approximately 8–10 cars, so we kindly encourage guests to share lifts wherever possible.
We'll provide arrival instructions ahead of your celebration so everyone knows exactly where to go.

🚻 The Little Essentials
We're proudly rustic here at Red Sky! Our woodland guests have access to our campsite's compost toilets and handwashing facilities. You won't find luxury bathrooms or fancy plumbing, but you will find plenty of fresh air, countryside charm and a proper outdoor adventure!

🍰 Birthday Treats & Tasty Extras
You're very welcome to bring your own birthday cake, decorations or picnic food, or let us take care of some of the delicious extras for you! From locally prepared party picnics to pizzas finished over the fire and marshmallow toasting, there's plenty of opportunity to add a little extra magic.
Our sheltered party area will already be dressed with bunting, lanterns and fairy lights, with picnic seating, children's squash, party plates and cups, and hot drink-making facilities ready for your arrival.

🐑 A Little Farmyard Reminder
Into the Woods is nestled within our working beef and sheep farm, so you may hear the occasional sheep calling, spot some countryside wildlife or discover a little evidence of our four-legged neighbours!
It's all part of the charm of celebrating somewhere wonderfully wild. We simply ask everyone to respect the countryside, stay within the designated party area and leave the woodland as lovely as they found it.💚

🌦️ Our Woodland Weather Promise
A little rain never stopped a great adventure, and here at Into the Woods, we believe muddy puddles, rosy cheeks and a splash of Welsh weather are all part of the magic!

Our sheltered party area provides a cosy place to gather, enjoy birthday treats and escape the occasional shower, while the woodland is waiting to be explored whatever the season.
However, we also know just how much excitement goes into planning a child's birthday, and the last thing we want is for the weather to spoil their special day.
We'll keep an eye on the forecast in the lead-up to your celebration and, if particularly unpleasant weather is expected, we'll be in touch to discuss your options.

If severe weather makes the woodland unsafe, we'll arrange an alternative date at no extra charge. If we can't agree on a suitable date, your party payment will be refunded.

Our priority is simple: happy little adventurers, wonderful birthday memories and a celebration worth looking forward to! 🌿
