By making a booking at Red Sky at Night Campsite, guests confirm they have read, understood and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.


1. Bookings & Payment

Full payment is required to secure your booking.

Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received.

We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion.


2. Cancellations, Refunds & Date Transfers

As a small family-run campsite, cancellations have a significant impact on us.


Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before arrival may receive either:
    • A refund (minus any booking/administration fees where applicable), or
    • One date transfer only, to be used within 12 months of the original booking date, subject to availability.

  • No refunds or date transfers will be given for cancellations made within 7 days of arrival.
  • No refunds will be given for:
  • Early departures
  • Unused nights
    • Guests choosing to leave early for personal reasons

Weather Policy

Camping is an outdoor experience and the British weather can be unpredictable.

No refunds or date transfers will be given due to bad weather, including but not limited to:

  • Rain
  • Wind
  • Mud
  • Cold temperatures
  • Storms
  • Poor weather forecasts

Guests are responsible for checking weather forecasts and arriving prepared for outdoor camping conditions.


3. Arrival, Departure & Pitching

Guests must only pitch in designated camping areas.

Please respect check-in and check-out times.

Please do not exceed the maximum number of people permitted per pitch.

We reserve the right to amend pitch locations if operationally necessary.


4. Children & Play Areas

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

This includes all woodland areas, mud café, den-building areas, slackline, natural play spaces and around fires, farm equipment, fencing and livestock.

The campsite contains natural hazards including uneven ground, mud, tree roots, slopes and hidden trip hazards.

All play areas, woodland areas and natural spaces are used entirely at guests’ own risk.


5. Fires, Fire Bowls & BBQs

Fires are only permitted in designated fire bowls.

Fire bowls must never be left unattended.

Guests must ensure fires are fully extinguished before leaving them or going to bed.

Only cold ash should be disposed of in designated bins.

We reserve the right to request fires are extinguished immediately if conditions become unsafe.


6. Respect for Nature & Leave No Trace

Red Sky at Night is a peaceful, rustic, off-grid campsite surrounded by nature.

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect wildlife, woodland and surrounding farmland
  • Leave pitches clean and tidy
  • Take rubbish home unless otherwise instructed
  • Leave the campsite as they would wish to find it

Please do not damage trees, fencing, woodland areas or natural habitats.


7. Dogs

Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at all times.

Owners must clean up after their dogs.

Excessive barking, uncontrolled behaviour or aggressive dogs may result in guests being asked to leave.


8. Noise & Respect for Others

Red Sky at Night is a peaceful, family-friendly campsite.

Please be respectful of fellow campers and neighbouring land.

Loud music, disruptive behaviour and excessive noise are not permitted.

Guests are asked to keep noise to a respectful level, especially during evening and night-time hours.


9. Vehicles

Vehicles must be driven slowly and responsibly around the campsite at all times.

Please park only in designated areas or at your allocated pitch.

Unnecessary vehicle movement around the campsite should be avoided for safety reasons.


10. Working Farm & Natural Hazards

Red Sky at Night Campsite is situated on a working farm and within a natural countryside environment.

Guests acknowledge there are inherent risks including, but not limited to:

  • Uneven ground
  • Mud and slippery surfaces
  • Livestock and electric fencing
  • Farm machinery and moving vehicles
  • Open fires
  • Woodland hazards
  • Natural trip and fall risks

Guests stay entirely at their own risk.


11. CCTV & Security Cameras

For the safety and security of guests, staff, property and honesty areas, CCTV/security cameras operate in parts of the campsite.

By entering the campsite, guests acknowledge that recording may be in operation.

Cameras are used for safety, security and crime prevention purposes.


12. Compost Toilets & Facilities

Please use facilities respectfully.

Only toilet paper should be placed in compost toilets.

As an off-grid campsite, facilities are intentionally simple and rustic. Temporary interruptions to facilities, water pressure or farm-related activity may occasionally occur.


13. Damage

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, children, dogs or members of their booking party.

Charges may apply where damage occurs.


14. Right to Refuse or End a Stay

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave without refund if:

  • Behaviour is abusive, unsafe or disruptive
  • Campsite rules are ignored
  • Guests negatively impact other campers’ enjoyment
  • Excessive noise occurs
  • These Terms & Conditions are breached

15. Liability

Guests stay at Red Sky at Night Campsite entirely at their own risk.

We accept no responsibility for:

  • Personal injury
  • Loss, theft or damage to belongings
  • Vehicle damage
  • Weather-related disruption
  • Limited phone signal, internet or off-grid interruptions
